Kingsdale Animal Hospital is certified to perform VetStem RC Regenerative Cell Therapy on companion animals. VetStem RC Regenerative Cell Therapy is a technology that captures the natural healing power of an animal’s own cells. Licensed exclusively from Vet-Stem (USA) by Avivagen Animal Health, it is a scientifically proven regenerative cell therapy for treatment of arthritic conditions and joint and ligament injuries in dogs and cats.

Through the VetStem RC Regenerative Cell Therapy process, fat (adipose) tissue is collected from the patient by us and forwarded to their new, dedicated laboratory in Prince Edward Island.

Using the Avivagen Animal Health lab facility, designed specifically for this purpose, they can ensure fast and efficient turnaround and quality of the processed cell product. The regenerative cells are then returned to us in which we inject them back into your pet in a minimally invasive treatment.

Regenerative cells are derived from your pet’s own adipose (fat) tissue.  Adipose derived stem cells are capable of differentiating into a variety of tissue types including tendon, ligament, bone, cartilage, and muscle and have been shown to reduce pain and inflammation.
