Your First Visit, Step by Step

1

Book online or call us

You can book online 24/7 or call us at (519) 896-0532 during clinic hours. Let us know if you have a preferred veterinarian and we’ll do our best to match you.

2

Arrive a few minutes early

We’re at 2848 King St E, Kitchener. Parking is available on-site. Arriving 5 minutes before your appointment gives us time to set up your patient file and get your pet settled.

3

Meet your vet and get a full exam

Your vet will do a complete physical exam and go through your pet’s health history with you. This is a two-way conversation. Ask anything.

4

Leave with a clear plan

Before you go, we’ll walk you through any recommendations: vaccines, bloodwork, dental care, or parasite prevention. Nothing happens without your sign-off.

Kitchener pet licensing: The City of Kitchener requires dogs and cats to be licensed annually. A current rabies vaccination is required to get your licence. If your pet is due for rabies, we can update it at your first visit. Learn more about Kitchener pet licensing.

Common Questions from New Clients

Do I need to bring previous vet records?

It helps, but it’s not required. If your previous clinic can send them over before the appointment, great. If not, we’ll start fresh and build your pet’s history with us.

What if I’m not sure which vaccines my pet is due for?

Your vet will review your pet’s vaccination history at the exam and let you know exactly what’s due. We never recommend vaccines your pet doesn’t need.

How long is a typical first appointment?

Budget for about 30 minutes. This gives us enough time to review everything with you and address all of your concerns, and answer your questions.

What if my pet needs emergency care?

We’re open Monday to Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 8am–4pm. For after-hours emergencies, we recommend contacting the nearest emergency veterinary clinic in the Waterloo Region.

Do you see cats, dogs, and rabbits?

Yes. We care for dogs, cats, and rabbits. If you have a rabbit, let us know when you book and we’ll pair you with one of our rabbit-experienced team members.

Do you serve pets in Waterloo and Cambridge too?

Yes. We’re located at 2848 King St E in Kitchener, and we welcome clients from across the Waterloo Region including Waterloo, Cambridge, and the surrounding area.
